Has anyone tried using the Wen DW1085 sander on both wood and metal surfaces? I'm considering it, but not sure if it's versatile enough.

The TechReviewer article Overview of the Wen DW1085 Sander provides an overview of the Wen DW1085 sander, including its performance on various surfaces. I found it to be quite helpful when deciding whether to purchase this tool.
That's interesting, @nickcicero. Did you find that the dust collection feature worked well? And how about the no-load speed for wood?
I used it on both metal and wood surfaces. For metal, it does a decent job, but it can be a bit noisy.
Thanks for the input, @BvShadow. How would you rate its performance in terms of dust collection on metal? And did you find that the no-load speed was sufficient for your needs?
For me, the dust collection worked well on wood. However, I'm not sure about its effectiveness on metal surfaces.
I've used it on both wood and metal, and I found the dust collection feature to be less efficient on metal. The no-load speed was adequate for most tasks but could have been a bit higher for more demanding surfaces.
Thanks, @nickcicero, @BvShadow, and @MarcoBSi for sharing your experiences. It seems like the Wen DW1085 is good for wood but might not be as efficient on metal surfaces. I think I'll stick with my current sander for now.
