I'm thinking of getting a Worx WG385 chainsaw for some hard wood cutting work. Has anyone used it before and how does it perform in this regard?

Hey @quincyguy, I've been using the Worx WG385 chainsaw for a few months now, and it's served me well! I've found that it cuts through hardwood quite easily. Check out this TechReviewer article Overview of the Worx WG385 Chainsaw for an overview of its performance.
Thanks, @SakanaFish. The 59 FPS chain speed seems promising. But can anyone comment on the power output when cutting hardwood?
Hey @spencerfitch, I've been using it on oak and maple, and it does a good job. It's not as fast as my gas-powered chainsaw, but for the battery-powered convenience, I'm happy with its performance.
That's helpful, @HyperionGM. I was worried about the 40V power rating, but it seems like it should handle my needs. Any thoughts on the tool-free chain tensioning feature?
@quincyguy, the tool-free chain tensioning is a great feature! It makes adjusting the chain super easy and quick. The Worx WG385 has been a reliable chainsaw for me, especially for hardwood cutting tasks.
That's good to know, @zoulkyud. I'm also curious about how the brushless motor holds up over time. Anyone have experience with that?
I've used the Worx WG385 on some tough oak and it performed well. The brushless motor definitely makes a difference in terms of power and longevity. Highly recommended!
Thanks for all the input! Based on your experiences, do you think this is the right choice for cutting hardwood regularly?
@quincyguy, I think you'll be happy with it for regular hardwood cutting tasks. Just remember to maintain it properly and the Worx WG385 should serve you well!
Agreed, @SakanaFish. It's a solid choice for most hardwood work. Good luck with your decision!
