I'm thinking about picking up a new sander for some upcoming projects and was wondering if anyone has experience with the Worx WX822L.9? It seems like it would be perfect for detail work.

That sounds great, but does anyone know where I can find more information on this sander? I found an article about it at Overview of the Worx WX822L.9 Sander, but I'd like some personal opinions as well.

Yeah, I've used one before! It's really handy for getting into those tight spaces. The variable speed control range of 4,000 to 12,000 OPM is pretty nice too.

Oh, I saw that article. It talks about the brushed motor and how it might not be as efficient as a brushless one, but for my needs I don't think it would matter much.

I agree with you there. The thing is, it's really lightweight and easy to control. That makes it perfect for intricate work or when you're not using it for long periods of time.

I've been considering the Worx WX822L.9 as well! I'm curious about the orbit diameter though. Does anyone know if that affects performance?

From what I understand, a smaller orbit diameter like the 0.09375 mm on this sander is good for finer detailing work. It's not as aggressive as a larger one, but it can give you a smoother finish.

Thanks everyone for your input! Based on all these replies, I think I'll go ahead and get the Worx WX822L.9. The convenience of cordless operation is really appealing to me, especially for projects around the house.
